Nine years ago, Bhutan’s sole international actor and national icon, Kelly Dorji, had a dream about the term ‘Terton’. He immediately set out on a mission to fulfil his recognition of the 5 most famous Terton Kings. Climate in Bhutan

The ideal time to visit Bhutan is either pre-monsoon from mid-March when the winter snow has begun to melt, until the end of May; or post-monsoon, from early September to late November. Temperatures can vary considerably depending on your elevation but as a guideline, temperatures in the capital, Thimphu, in April/May and October range from around 5C to around 25C.

Tiger Nest Monastery

Located at 2950m, Taktshang is the most iconic and sacred handing cliff monastery in Bhutan. Where Guru Rinpoche flies on a Tiger.

Punakha Dzong

Built in 1637-38 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel is now a most visited fortress. It is the 2nd oldest dzong Bhutan with a majestic structure.

Tachog Monastry

Established by Thangtong Gyelpo, has the most iconic iron bridge build by himself, standing till date as it was built the 16th century.  

Traditional Mask Dance

Mostly seen in the annual dzongkhag festivals (Tshechu), is one of the most celebrated performances by monks and laymen.
